Fashion: Suzhou Textiles convention

Textile convention.
To tried twice during the week to go to the Shanghai intertextiles convention. However. It got moved. So when I went to where it was last year....it was a paper and printing show....boring. The next day I went I took the wrong line, it was getting late. So yeah il go to the spring show. The one I went to near Suzhou was a bit of a flop. No silks apart from underwear, and all the genuine silk, when you went close was in fact imitation, not real at all, turns out the place to go is Hangzhou. On the plus side I did get some name cards for contacts for digital printing onto fabrics

However, the actual two days, although sounding dull here, got a little bit crazy!
So to begin with, super hot day, so of course we are meant to spend it on a bus for a couple of hours, thankfully we went at 2(30 minutes delay) instead of the others who got one around 3, it took us 2 hours to get there, it took them 4 with traffic. The Mongolian girl who had I had contacted to get involved was really nice and hung out with rebeka and I, we were also joined by a very beautiful Serbian girl, like zoolou the Mongolian, also 27, however newly married to a Canadian guy, she also wants to be a fashion designer but is self taught and trying to get some education for jobs.
We were disappointed to discover we weren't actually in Suzhou but outside.
Upon arriving we were given room cards and a sheet about the place with a QR code to join the group chat.

we had drinks after a great dinner with a french, Finnish and American guy, The Dinner was fantasic, all you can eat, serve yourself, with chefs there for some hot food, lot s for fresh fish, salads, some Chinese food too, all delicious, tasty fruit juice, beers, fruits, ice cream and lots of desserts, only problem, couldn’t fit anymore in! we have our own rooms, huge with 2 beds, shower and a bath, but there is simply too much space, so Rebeka and I just shared, though no baths, as we started to have a drink and listened to some music. The guys came round with european wine, delicious champagne and vodka.
We went out to the riverside, the Finnish guy got totally weird, Exhausted the next morning. The heat was dire too. Copious amounts of coffee was needed. We had to wait in the sun for a stupid opening ceremony, We weren’t allowed to leave the venue at all. Lunch was disgusting . then the woman in charge started telling us we couldn’t leave at 1 but instead 3.30, we argued for a long time in English and Chinese a he fight, she agreed and earler time, yet screwed us over and didn’t let us leave early, but hey at least we got to leave 2’30 and still got back earlier. the 3 guys earlier got a train back to shanghai and we still got there before them haha! Perfect.
