drinking too much isnt recommended obviously, high iron content and all that. walked on round, good walking boots is advised as its a bit like rock climbing at parts to get round to the next waterfall which leads to the neck, or suicide falls, our guide told us that often the slaves would find a diamond and swallow for safe passage for themselves...someone might tell or they might get checked out - forced to drink something that would make it come out the other end - if they did steal - then they'd be killed or just thrown into the rapids...EEK!
we had some time to chill there (literal emphasis on the chill, it wasnt the warmest!) but when in brazil....some of the guys decided to swim to the falls and jump/dive in from the cave ledge wall...i was then coerced into joining into. scary at the start, but i did it, so exhilarating and fun! unfortunately by the time i'd done it we were moving onto the next spot (luckily as per usual we had brought the brazil flags as towel blankets haha)

next we went to one of the many hundreds of FOUND caves
darning torches and hard hands we entered into the quiet humid dark dank cave.
